About Leesa Tabrizi

Leesa is a native New Yorker with an educational background in Fine Arts, Psychology, and Art History. She obtained her MA in Art Therapy at NYU and is now a licensed, board certified, registered art therapist working with LGBTQIA+ youth in NYC.

Her artwork is a reflection of her cross cultural identity as an American with German-Jewish, Islamic-Persian heritage. Her objective as an art therapist is to facilitate art making that sparks the realization of power in our own intersectional identities with groups and individuals. Her body of mixed media work is largely process oriented, and she intends to create final products that are vividly colorful, bold, and ornate.
